Then Krav Maga to be an effective form of defense?

Krav Maga is an Israeli martial art. Translated from Hebrew, which means fighting against the "contact." This is purely a method of self defense. It is not a sport, there are no competitions or tournaments. All techniques are not taboo for real life situations. He is a methodical training to deal with the immediate threat first, to prevent further attacks and to neutralize the offender.

The guiding principles are:

Quickly transition from defensive to the offensive

Career highlights the struggle in the worst conditions, like when someone else's protection against multiple attackers, an attacker armed with a single arm usable, even with blindfolded. Krav Maga focuses on the fight against the movement continues. Full protective equipment and padding used during training so that students not only learning how to use all his strength, but to understand how the impact is felt. This martial art was founded by Ima Lichtenfild. Born in 1910 in Budapest, Hungary grew up in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia. He has won national championships in boxing and wrestling and was also heavily influenced by his father, a self defense instructor, besides being a detective chief inspector.

In 1981, six Israeli experts traveled to the United States and gave demonstrations of Jewish Community Centers. After twenty two Americans have traveled to Israel to become a student of martial art and why other cultures began to spread.
