Devotional bibles are one of the modern day versions of the bible that has been paving its own way into the lives of Christians all over the world. However, a lot of people are still unfamiliar as to what they are and how they are particularly different compared to the typical bible version.

Devotional bibles can be considered a paradox, as they are more substantial in terms of content, yet they are easier to grasp. Aside from the traditional text from the bible, they have additional features that are intended to keep the learning both fun and undeniably engaging. For one, as their names already suggest, these devotional bibles have included devotions inside them. Every bible has its own style and method of providing devotionals for its readers. Most of these bibles also provide selections of bible verses that are particularly picked out for everyday application. Through this, the bibles are able to give inspiration and knowledge that the users can integrate in their lives. This kind of bibles also makes it a point to teach the readers by giving questions at the end of every section.

Today, there are so many types of devotional bibles that people can choose from. Most of these varieties are targeted to specific members of the society. Let’s take the NIV Men’s Devotional Bible and NIV Women’s Devotional Bible for example. They both the same New International Version (NIV) bible text, but the extensive offering of features they have are different. Such as the daily devotionals that are included in each of them, one set of devotionals fit for the lives of men and the other set are those that are for the women.

But not only are they for individuals alone as there are also devotional bibles for married couples. And then there are also devotional bibles for teens and kids, to guide the young members of our society into the right and proper path. Parenting will also be much more God-inclined with devotionals for moms and dads. And then there are also sanctuary devotionals for the ‘self-seeking’ people who are not decided with where their faiths are leading them.

Since each and every one of us has our own set of life experiences, there are bibles that cater to these individual needs. Truth is, choosing the traditional or the new versions would not make a lot of difference. Above all things, you yourself  is what is essential in your actions, your commitment and your will to do whatever it takes to really learn what the bible has to offer to you. However, since you have the choice of making your bubbly study more fun and more personal, why still not choose devotional bibles?
